NON-SLIP FRP – SLIPPERY ENTRANCE GETS UPGRADE
For years, residents had to contend with a dangerous, slippery entrance to and from the carpark and are in need of non-slip FRP. The area is exposed to the elements and Many options were tried including rubber mats, tile coating and etching. Nothing came close to solving the problem until the guys at Makerite Contracting thought outside the box and contacted FRP Engineering.
The decision was made to install 15mm thick FRP mesh to the affected area with a custom aluminium surround. The FRP mesh is manufactured using a premium grade resin which has been developed for uninterrupted exposure to both weather and UV. The square mesh surface and the gritted finish satisfy the slip resistance requirements even in the harshest of winter downpours.
