Manufactured from premium grade rigid polyurethane, FRP Engineering’s Intrepid self-closing gates provide long, low maintenance service life, even in the harshest of environments.
The unique design of the Intrepid safety gate (also known as self closing gates) has a horizontal swing instead of a vertical drop. The design relies solely on gravity and hence these safety gates do not depend on springs, cams, bearings or the operator.
Available in 4 standard widths to suit various opening sizes the Intrepid self-closing gates are easy to install. If you have an opening size that does not exactly suit the standard width gates, don’t worry, the gates are easily cut to size. FRP Engineering manufactures these gates with no metallic parts and hence will not require any hot work permits.
FRP Engineering safety gates are unique in having a ‘universal’ hinge. There is no need to worry about which direction the gate is required to swing as the universal hinge allows the installer mount it for either left or right. This makes installation a simple exercise. We have adapter plates for both square and round handrail applications.
All Intrepid gates are manufactured with high visibility safety yellow pigment throughout all the components.
